# The Group Command

Players can use the `/group` command to create private group chats on the server.

You can create a new group using the `/group create <name>` command and invite players to join your group using the `/group invite` command. There is no limit on the number of players that can join a group. Players can accept an invitation to join a group using the `/group join` command. You can then use the `/group chat` command to send a private chat message to all other players in the group. You can view a list of all the players in the group using the `/group players` command. You can also leave a group using the the `/group leave` command.

{% hint style="info" %}
Players can only be a part of one group at a time. If you join Group A and then join Group B, you will automatically leave Group A when you join Group B.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://about.foundationcraft.com/server-commands/the-group-command.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
