Creating Homes

How to create homes in your settlements

Settlement owners can create homes in their settlements. Homes can be sold or rented to other players. Homes have higher limits than settlements and home limits do not count towards settlement limits. Use /home create to create a home in your settlement. You can then claim additional plots for the home using /home claim while standing in a plot adjacent to the home. Each home in your settlement must be separated from other homes by one plot which is not claimed by any homes.

All home owners have a primary home which cannot be sold or rented. Players that own multiple homes can use /home setprimary to update their primary home.

Renting Homes

Use /home rent <amount> to start renting one of your secondary homes. The home will then be discoverable when using the explore command. Home renters will be charged rent every 24 hours while renting a home. Rented homes can only be used by the home renter, meaning that the settlement owner will be unable to build or access protected storage while homes are rented.

Selling Homes

Use /home sell <amount> to start selling one of your secondary homes. The home will then be discoverable when using the explore command. Once a home has been sold, ownership of the home is transferred to the new home owner meaning that the previous home owner will no longer be able to build or access protected storage in the home. Homes can be re-sold, allowing players to buy homes, improve them, and flip them for a profit.
