The Settlement Command
How to manage, sponsor, and view information about settlements on the server
You can use the /settlement
or /s
command to view all available settlement commands. If you are standing in a settlement, one of the available commands will be the /s info
command which can be used to show helpful information including the settlement's name, owner, number of plots claimed, sponsor count, and status which summarizes how visitors may interact in claimed plots.
Creating Settlements
Players can create settlements in The Frontier using the /s create
command. Using this command will tell you the cost of creating a settlement. You can then use the /s create confirm
command to create the settlement and claim the first settlement plot. Additional plots can then be claimed for the settlement using the /s claim
command. Players can find claimable locations in The Frontier using the /explore unclaimed
command. Players are allowed to create at most two settlements, while Members are allowed to create up to six settlements.
Upgrading Settlements
Settlement owners can use the /s upgrade
command to upgrade their settlement which allows them to claim more plots for the settlement. Using this command will tell you the cost of upgrading the settlement. You can then upgrade the settlement using the /s upgrade confirm
command.
Sponsoring Settlements
Players can use the /s sponsor
command to sponsor a settlement which results in the settlement and all of its homes, shops, and markets being explored more frequently by players when using the explore command, as the explore sorting is based on multiple factors including the sponsor count.
If you want to sponsor a home, shop, or market, you can effectively do so by sponsoring the settlement in which the home, shop, or market is located in.
Setting Primary Settlements
Settlement owners can teleport to their primary settlement using the /s spawn
command. If you own multiple settlements, you can change your primary settlement using the the /s setprimary
command while standing in the settlement that you want to set as your new primary settlement.
Changing Settlement Names
All settlements on the server have a unique name which, by default, indicates when the settlement was created. Settlements can be renamed by the settlement owner using the /s rename <name>
command. Players can teleport to settlements using the /s spawn <name>
command.
Changing Settlement Spawn Locations
Settlement owners can use the /s setspawn
command to change the spawn location of their settlement to any claimed plot which has not been claimed by a home, shop, or market.
Banning Players From Settlements
Settlement owners can ban other players from their settlements using the /s ban
command. This teleports the player to the server spawn location if they are currently in the settlement. This also prevents them from renting or buying any homes or shops in the settlement, while also preventing them from trading in any shops or markets in the settlement. Settlement owners can also unban a previously banned player using the /s unban
command.
Locking Settlements
You can lock all of the plots claimed by your settlement using the /s lock
command and unlock all of the plots claimed by your settlement using the /s unlock
command. Locking a plot prevents other players from interacting in the plot, while unlocking a plot allows certain interactions, such an opening doors and pushing buttons, but does not allow players to place blocks, break blocks, or access any kind of protected storage such as chests, armor stands, or item frames.
Settlement Ranks
Settlement owners can use the /settlement setrank
command to give other players permission to do specific things in their settlement, such as farm or build.
Settlement Players
Players can use the /s players
command to view a list of all players associated with a settlement, including players who own or rent homes or shops in the settlement as well as any players who have been promoted to a settlement rank higher than Visitor.
