The Home Command
How players can manage and view information about homes on the server
You can use the /home
command to view all available home commands. If you are standing in a home, one of the available commands will be the /home info
command which can be used to show helpful information about the home including the name of the home, who owns the home, how many plots have been claimed by the home, the home tax amount, and if the home is for rent, for sale, or currently being rented. If the home is available for rent, the rent amount will also be included in this information. Similarly, if the home is for sale, the purchase price will be included in this information.
Creating Homes
Settlement owners can create a home in their settlement using the /home create
command. Additional plots can then be claimed for the home using the /home claim
command. There is no hard limit on the number of homes that can be created in a settlement, although homes must be separated from other homes, shops, and markets by at least one plot.
Setting Primary Homes
Home owners can teleport to their primary home using the /home spawn
command. If you own multiple homes, you can change your primary home using the the /home setprimary
command which will set the home that you are currently standing in as your new primary home.
Changing Home Names
All homes on the server have a unique name which, by default, indicates when the home was created. Homes can be renamed by the current home owner using the /home rename <name>
command as long as the home is not actively being rented by another player. Home residents can teleport to their homes using the /home spawn <name>
command.
Changing Home Spawn Locations
Home owners can use the /home setspawn
command to change the spawn location of their home as long as the home is not actively being rented by another player.
Renting Homes To Other Players
Home owners can allow other players to rent one of their homes using the /home rent <amount>
command. You can stop renting the home to other players using the /home stoprenting
command as long as the home is not actively being rented by another player.
Renting Homes From Other Players
You can start renting a home that is for rent using the /home rent
command while standing in the home. Using this command will charge you the first day of rent, with each additional day of rent being collected by the server automatically every 24 hours. Rent is paid to the current home owner. You can stop renting the home as a resident at any time using the /home stoprenting
command.
Selling Homes To Other Players
Home owners can sell their homes to other players using the /home sell <amount>
command. This command allows other players to purchase the home for the specified amount, called the purchase price. You can stop selling one of your homes for sale using the /home stopselling
command.
Buying Homes From Other Players
You can purchase a home that is for sale using the /home buy
command while standing in the home. Using this command will charge you the purchase price which is transferred to the balance of the home seller, at which point ownership of the home will be transferred to you.
Kicking Players From Homes
Home residents can kick other players from their home using the /home kick
command. This teleports the player to the spawn location of the settlement containing the home.
Repossessing Homes
The server automatically collects taxes from home owners which are paid to the settlement owner. If the home owner fails to pay this tax, the settlement owner can choose to repossess the home from the home owner using the /home repossess
command.
Locking Homes
You can lock all of the plots claimed by your home using the /home lock
command and unlock all of the plots claimed by your home using the /home unlock
command. Locking a plot prevents other players from interacting in the plot, while unlocking a plot allows certain interactions, such an opening doors and pushing buttons, but does not allow players to place blocks, break blocks, or access any kind of protected storage such as chests, armor stands, or item frames.
Deleting Homes
Homes owned by the settlement owner can be deleting using the /home delete
command. Homes can only be deleted if doing so would not violate the settlement limits, otherwise some of the limited blocks placed within the home need to be removed before the home can be deleted.
Home Residents
There are two types of home residents: owners and renters. If a home is being rented then the resident of the home is the home renter, otherwise the resident of the home is the home owner. You can view a list of the homes of which you are the current resident using the /home list
command.
Home History
The server keeps track of when a home resident changes. This happens when a player buys a home, starts renting a home as a resident, or stops renting a home as a resident. You can view the history of who has previous resided in a home using the /home history
command. Note that this command was added about two years after the server launched, so the home history may be incomplete.
Removing Entities
Home residents can use the /home clear items
command to remove all of the items that have been dropped on the ground from all the plots claimed by their home. Similarly, home residents can use the /home clear animals
command to remove all unnamed mobs from their home. You can use the /home clear pets
command to remove named mobs from your home.
Home Limits
You can use the /home limits
command to see the limits for the home that you are in.
